I have taken time to review the top-rated cargo liners for dogs, you can read it here. That is if you are looking for more than one cargo liner so that you can choose. However, this 4Knines SUV Cargo Liner for Dogs is what I strongly recommend as the best dog cargo liner for SUVs.
Aside from having top ratings on Amazon, this liner is made with high-quality durable material and made in the USA by a USA based company. If you also travel often with your dog, you know it is very important to own a cargo liner that will protect your cargo/SUV seat from your dog scratched.
Also, when travel with your dog without a liner, at the back of a car where you usually keep your dog during the long travel, you will start noticing that your dog’s hair and Eau de pooch embedded in every surface and it can be really difficult to get them out. This, and prevent your dog from destroying your car interior is the reason you need a dog cargo liner.
So, Why Choose the 4Knines?
I have always recommended this product as my first option to anyone who wants to buy a cargo liner and is confused, especially first-time buyers. The 4Knines cargo liner is designed with exceptional high-quality craftsmanship and is easy to clean and maintain.
The cargo liner is specially designed to protect the interior of your vehicle against your dog while traveling together. The liner is available in three sizes and all the sizes include a bumper flap to protect the bumper (the bumper flap is not detachable, but can be tucked underneath and out of the way when not in use)
- Small: 42″ x 78″
- Large: 52″ x 82″
- XL: 55″ x 106″
These three size option makes it a great fit for almost all SUVs (you just have to measure yours for great fits). In addition to the sizes, all of them are made 600D polyester, thick straps, non-slip layer, nylon clips, and a special solid waterproof layer that makes the seat bottom completely waterproof. All components are colorfast.
The material used is tough and looks premium, and has a nice rubber backing that keeps the dog and the liner from sliding up to the driver’s seat. Since the liner isn’t thickly padded you can throw a dog bed there as well.
I decided to take the preemptive strike of getting a liner to. I looked at several kinds and the 4Knines is the best long term option, if you are looking to protect your car interior from dog hair, sick doggies, and drool. You can look at different sizes.
But, I recommend the Large size. That way, you will have enough room to protect the back of the driver and passenger bucket seats when the rear bench is folded flat, and it was also wide enough to protect up the interior sidewalls for a few inches.
If you have a car with a dimension that is roughly 69″ X 54″, then the XLarge will be a great fit. The extra-large will allow you to run it up the front seats attaching it around the headrest. It is good quality and once laid down and attached to the headrest, it does not move at all and doesn’t bunch up.
Something to consider, since this is waterproof, the liner surface is slippery to doggy paws. When cornering or accelerating your dog may slide and resolve this, you can buy Safe Way Traction Rubberized Anti Slip Tape. This will give them plenty of grips while traveling. There are other no-slip tape and pads out there. The rubberized tape provides ample traction solving those concerns.
I love that the color is black because it looks nicer and sleeker. I advise that you should just measure and decide what you want the best. I chose to have a little more fabric instead of not enough fabric. The flap that will flip out so the cargo area/ or outside area of your car won’t be scratched is a wonderful add on.
The fasteners that connect around the seat are made with quality material so they shouldn’t come undone without the person physically doing it themselves. Underneath it has a rubber texture so it won’t slide around it stays put. I do know what else that is left to say. I highly recommend it and it is worth the money.
To crown it. The liner is east to installs with quick-release clips and easy to clean (Hose it down, wipe down with a moist towel, or toss it in the washer to keep it looking fresh and clean). But it is not machine washable. finally, the liner does have a lifetime guarantee so only time will tell if the premium price is worth it.
